Training Native Leaders
Lutheran Indian Ministries shares Christ’s Kingdom with American Indian, Native Alaskan and First Nations people for ministry to their own and to others. In the past, and now more than ever, one of our primary areas of focus is to identify, recruit, train, equip and empower people for service in the church and throughout the world.
Reaching people in the Native American community with the Gospel of Jesus Christ over the past 26 years has been a significant challenge, particularly because of past injustices, abuses and
violence against Native Americans.
Today doors are opening for Lutheran Indian Ministries to build on relationships that have been years in
cultivation. There has been a ground swell of witnessing for Christ
by and among Native American people. The number of men and
women indicating their sense of call and readiness to be equipped
for leadership in their community and church is on the rise.
