Late Summer 2010 - Bringing Christ to the Nations

Tell A Friend

God provides unique ways for us to encounter, share and collaborate in each place. The more often we pull into port, the more trust is gained, and ministry is set in motion. God is so faithful!

Dave Sternbeck

We just spent 2 weeks in a Native village
called Hydaburg. We were able to provide
VBS for ages 5-9 and 10-12, then a teen girl overnight and a teen boy fishing trip. It was
so great to connect in such a personal way with each of these kids. Many struggle with some pretty tough family situations.

Dave Sternbeck We also participated with the village's culture camp, which is also part of our mission to strengthen cultural identity and reinforce that one does not have to choose between being Native and being Christian. It was such a blessed time and helped build relationships with more of the adults in the villages. We cherish each opportunity to walk alongside another’s faith journey. We ended our visit with a rededication to the Lord in a nearby cove.

Now we are steaming north to Angoon to do another VBS and end the summer
in Hoonah.

Your prayers and your faithful support are so vital to our ministry among the Alaska Native people we serve through the Gospel of Jesus Christ.  Thank you for your partnership!  God bless.
